Jon Stewart on “The O’Reilly Factor”
I didn’t see the airing, but apparently Jon Stewart of the Daily Show went on the O’Reilly Factor. The transcript is here. O’Reilly pulls some statistic out of his ass that 87% of viewers are intoxicated when they watch the Daily Show and that the target audience is full of "stoned slackers." It is hard to know if O’Reilly is trying to be funny or not just from the transcript. If he’s being serious, then he’s has reality issues. My sample size is small, but everyone I know that watches the Daily Show is young, progressive, well-educated and extremely self-motivated.
